India vs Australia Live Score, WTC 2023 Final: India and Australia will meet today to play the World Test Championship (WTC). India will be looking to lift the WTC title at the second attempt after losing to New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the championship.
The prestigious encounter will feature the famous Dukes' ball, the preferred choice for Test and elite cricket played in England. The match is scheduled to be played over five days, from the 7th to the 11th of June, with a back-up day available in case of adverse weather conditions.
Both India and Australia are missing some key players ahead of the WTC final. Travis Head's dashing century put Australia in a strong position against India on Wednesday's opening day of the World Test Championship final at the Oval.
Head came in with Australia struggling at 76-3 after India captain Rohit Sharma had won the toss in overcast conditions and on a green-tinged pitch that favoured a four-man pace attack.
But left-hander Head put the pressure back on the bowlers from the start of his innings, with 24 of his initial 27 runs coming in boundaries.
Australia's Travis Head and Steve Smith have taken contol of the Australian innings after they lost three wickets for 76 runs. The duo reached individual milestones and putting Australia in firm control of the test match.
Travis Head hits sixth test hundred, his first outside Australia and also the first against India.

Kumar Sangakkara while giving the pitch report for Star Sports revealed that there are cloudy conditions overhead which means the pitch will offer seam and swing for the bowlers. There is also a lot of grass on the surface.
India has won the WTC Final toss and captain Rohit Sharma has opted to bowl first. Interestingly, Ravichandran Ashwin has been dropped from the Indian side in favour of an extra seamer.
Australian skipper Pat Cummins said he would have liked to bowl first as well.
Former India wicketkeeper batter believes both Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma will want to bowl first at the Oval stadium. Speaking to Star Sports, Karthik said that even thought Rohit Sharma has looked to bat first in all of his test matches so far, he will rethink his approach for the WTC Final.
