Pahalgam Terror Attack: The Indian Air Force on Wednesday, April 23, announced the demise of Cpl Tage Hailyang in the terrorist attack which took place in the Baisaran valley near the Pahalgam tourist resort in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, according to an official social media post on X.
The Indian Air Force extended their heartfelt condolences to Hailyang's family at such a moment of grief.
“All air warriors of the #IndianAirForce mourn the loss of Cpl Tage Hailyang in the terror attack at Pahalgam and convey heartfelt condolences to his family in this moment of immense grief,” said the Indian Air Force in the post.
They also reiterated that the Indian Air Force will stand in solidarity with the families of all those who lost their lives in the attack, and also wished the injured a fast recovery.
“The IAF stands in solidarity with the families of all those who lost their lives and prays for the swift recovery of the injured,” they said in the post on X.
Indian Navy Officer, Vinay Narwal, was among the total 26 people who were brutally killed in the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday, April 22.
The naval officer was identified as 26-year-old Vinay Narwal, who got married on April 16, 2025, and was on leave visiting Kashmir after his wedding.
“One Indian Navy officer, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal (aged 26 years), who was posted in Kochi, has been killed in the Pahalgam attack while he was on leave. He is a native of Haryana and got married on April 16,” reported the news agency ANI, citing defence officials aware of the development.
A Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot named The Resistance Front (TRF) took responsibility for the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam region on Tuesday, April 22.
The terrorist attack killed 26 people, including 2 foreign tourists, 2 locals, an Indian Navy Officer, and an Indian Air Force Corporal, an intelligence officer among others. The terror attack also resulted in more than 20 people getting injured, who were taken to the local hospital by medical responders.
As per media reports on Tuesday, the terrorists fired multiple gunshots in the upper meadows of the Baisaran valley near the Pahalgam tourist resort in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
This terror attack is being called the worst terrorist attack since the Pulwama strike in 2019. As per multiple media reports, citing local officials, the terrorists could have crossed over from Kishtwar in Jammu and reached the Baisaran region through Kokernag in South Kashmir.
