The pilots had informed about a technical glitch to the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) and made a precautionary landing after that. Landing became tougher and riskier due to the undulating ground, undergrowth and unprepared landing area.

There has been no information about the cause of helicopter crash, till now. However, the Jammu and Kashmir has been experiencing harsh weather with low visibility for last one week. The harsh weather of the region and lack of transportation due to rough terrain makes helicopters the only sources of supplies, including rations in the region.
