The upcoming third G20 tourism working group meeting is about to commence in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, under the leadership of India. The significant event is scheduled from May 22 to 24 and signifies a favorable environment for discussing and planning tourism-related matters in the Union Territory.
Recent reports indicate a renewed sense of optimism among the youth, as they anticipate a substantial increase in the arrival of foreign tourists to Kashmir in the near future. Tourism plays a pivotal role in the economy of Jammu and Kashmir, serving as its backbone. This industry caters to a wide range of employment opportunities, absorbing individuals from unskilled to unorganized sectors, thereby addressing the issue of educational unemployment.
