Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Emmy-winning journalist Lauren Sánchez have reportedly raised an expensive glass of wine after their engagement. On 22 May, Bezos 59 got engaged to Sanchez and the couple was joined by Amazon founder's sister Christina Bezos Poore and her husband Steve Poore at La Petite Maison in Cannes, France.
According to a report by People.com, the group shared zucchini blossoms with parmesan cheese and a $4,285 bottle of Dugat-Py Grand Cru from Domaine Bernard, a small batch of red Burgundy wine. Besides, hit songs like Britney Spears’ “Hit Me Baby (One More Time)”, John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.” were also played during the romantic eve.
Recently, Bezos and Sanchez were spotted on a luxurious yacht that featured a wooden sculpture that resembled Sanchez. The couple attended the premiere of Apple Original Films' Killers of the Flower Moon at the Cannes Film Festival.
Sanchez was spotted wearing an engagement ring on the yacht. Her 25-30 carat diamond ring could be worth "anywhere from $3 million to upwards of $5 million", The People wrote citing jeweler and expert Briony Raymond.
Bezos and Sanchez revealed their relationship in public in 2019 after the billionaire announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott with whom he shares four children after 25 years of marriage.
