A man, labourer by profession, from Jharkhand has alleged that his wife has gone missing ever since she secured a job as a nurse. In another case, Pintu Singh from Buxar of Bihar has called back his wife, Khushbu Kumari, from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh for fear that she would leave him if she cracks a government job. In this case, too, Khushbu was preparing for state civil service examinations. Pintu went as far as to refuse support for his wife's continued education. The source of these actions is but one -- “Jyoti Maurya Bewafaa Hai".
But the story of Jyoti Maurya doesn’t just end at dhokha (betrayal), it has more – adultery, corruption and murder conspiracy. All alleged, of course.
Alok Maurya’s narrative has unveiled accounts of some married men who have either withdrawn their support for their wives' endeavors or have claimed a comparable act of betrayal. After Bihar, another incident has been reported from Jharkhand where a man has claimed that his wife a nurse by working as a laborer, now the wife refused to live with him
The incident came to the fore when a video of her husband, Alok Maurya, emerged on social media in which he is seen crying and alleging that his wife, that’s Jyoti, left him after becoming the SDM, prompting the “Jyoti Maurya Bewafaa Hai" trend on social media. Alok Maurya is a Class-IV employee in Panchayati Raj Department in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh.
In the video, Alok Maurya said he got married to Jyoti in the year 2010. From2010 to 2016, Alok funded Jyoti’s studies. He has claimed that he even took loans so that Jyoti could continue her studies. In 2016, Jyoti secured 16th rank in Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Service (UPPCS) exams and went on to become a civil servant.
Here comes adultery, alleged of course.
In the video, Alok Maurya has alleged that Jyoti made several trips to Lucknow for “meetings". Alok Maurya says he was always suspicious of her trips but one December, he secretly followed her to one such meetings. Alok Maurya claimed he found that Jyoti was spending nights with one Manish Dubey, a home guard commandant in Ghaziabad, UP.
Alok claimed he caught them “red-handed" when they were leaving the hotel. When asked, Jyoti told Alok that Manish was her lover.
This is not the end.
Alok has also alleged that his wife, Jyoti Maurya, is a corrupt officer and even claims to have proof of it. He claimed to have a diary that "contains" details of the alleged corruption. The claims are being probed. Alok further asserted the possession of WhatsApp conversations between Manish and Jyoti, which purportedly reveal a conspiracy to get him killed.
Now Jyoti’s version.
The “bewafaa", Jyoti Maurya, has also alleged a dhokha, at the hands of her husband, Alok Maurya. SDM Jyoti Maurya said, before their wedding, Alok had claimed to a panchayat officer but he was employed as a sweeper. Alok Maurya being a “panchayat officer" was also printed on their wedding cards.
About the WhatsApp texts, Jyoti Maurya says they have been distorted and since an investigation is underway, the “truth will eventually come out".
