KARNATAKA : As many as 239 new coronavirus cases have been reported in Karnataka in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state has increased to 5,452. The death toll has climbed to 61. At least 2,132 people have recovered from the disease in Karnataka.

District-wise breakup is available for 5418 of the total 5452 cases reported in the state. Udupi had the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 902 confirmed infections. The table below shows confirmed cases for all districts.

Maharashtra has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in India, followed by Tamil Nadu and Delhi.

India's Covid-19 count crossed the grim milestone of 256,611 today. Covid-19 has claimed 7,135 lives in India.

There are 125,381 active coronavirus cases in the country, according to health ministry data. At least 124,095 have been cured.

India reported its first case of novel coronavirus in Kerala on January 30. To combat the spread of the virus, the central government implemented the first nationwide lockdown on March 25.
