Varanasi: With industries shut and people staying home, the quality of Ganga river water has witnessed a significant improvement of around '40 to 50 per cent' since March 24, the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
