A fire broke out in three bogies of Falaknuma Express Bommaipally and Pagidipally in Telangana, news agency ANI reported. After the fire, the train was halted. All deboarded the train, and no injuries were reported. as per the agency.
CH Rakesh, CPRO South Central Railway said, "Fire accident reported in Falaknuma Express. All the passengers got down. No casualties were reported, and the train was stopped between Bommaipally and Pagidipally. The fire broke out in three bogies, S4, S5, S6."
This comes out days after an investigation into the Odisha train tragedy identified "wrong signalling" as the primary cause of the Balasore accident and highlighted multiple failures within the signalling and telecommunication (S&T) department. However, the inquiry findings submitted by a high-level investigation team indicated that the tragedy could have been prevented had the previous warning signs been highlighted, reported news agency PTI.
