A major fire broke out Andheri's Crystal Tower, located along the Western Express Highway on Tuesday. Andheri East. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and are currently engaged in dousing operations. No casualties have been reported so far.

Previous incidents:

Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at Lokbandhu Hospital in Lucknow, but it was put out on time. All patients from the affected wards were safely rescued and moved to other hospitals, said officials.

According to the agency reports, the incident took place on the second floor of the ICU building near the female ward. A total of 200 patients were inside the hospital who have been reffered to Civil Hospital, Balrampur Hospital, and King George's Medical University (KGMU) Hospital.

“The fire has been doused, and all the patients of the three wards have been rescued and referred to other facilities. None of the patients are stuck inside,” District Magistrate Visakh G Iyer said, while speaking to ANI.

The Principal Secretary of Health, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, added, "No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident. All the patients have been shifted to another hospital. We have spoken to the management of those hospitals, too."

A month ago, a sudden burst of flames caused by a leaking gas pipeline in Andheri East disrupted 22-year-old Arvind Kaithal’s life and left him incapacitated in a hospital bed.

On 12 April, a fire erupted on the fourth floor of an apartment complex in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. Seven fire engines were deployed to the scene, and the fire was eventually brought under control.

With the heat and smoke engulfing even the lower floors, residents desperately tried to flee the building using balconies on staircase landings. In the attempt, a woman and two young children narrowly escaped tragedy, which was caught on camera.

The fire originated in a flat at Parishkar-1 in Khokhara, Ahmedabad. While around 18 people were trapped, all were successfully rescued by fire officials. The blaze was eventually brought under control, and no casualties were reported.
