NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi could have a possible face-off over Kashmir with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the United Nations General Assembly during his weeklong visit to the US starting 22 September.
Both Modi and Khan are expected to address the UNGA on 27 September. It is, however, not clear who will address the session first. Earlier this week, Khan said he was the “ambassador" of Kashmiri people and vowed to raise the matter at all possible international fora.
Modi’s schedule in the US includes a stop in Houston to address an energy conclave for increased India-US collaboration. He will also announce the formation of the Disaster Resilient Infrastructure initiative during his visit.
