The NDA meeting in the national capital will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is being organised to mark the completion of 9 years of the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the eve of NDA meet in New Delhi Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan joined the alliance after meeting with BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Minister Amit Shah.
PM Modi said in the last 9 years, it is possible that some of you might have tried to reach me and i couldn't or you were not invited to any occasion or didn't get a chance to meet me. PM Modi said he is grateful to all such leaders for not complaining about such things in the interest of the coalition
PM Modi said that in 2014 Indian economy was at 10th positon and now it is at number 5. He assured the coalition members of NDA and in the third term of NDA, the Indian economy will be at number 3
PM Modi said that in the last 9 years of NDA being in power a strong foundation has been laid and now we have build new, strong and Atmanirbhar Bharat on this foundation
PM Modi quoted the improved vote share of NDA during the previous two elections and said in 2024 Lok Sabha elections the NDA vote share will cross 50%.
PM Modi said it is very surprising that major leaders of the world like of US, Japan, UK are inviting NDA leaders despite general elections being very close in India. It is because they know that NDA coalition has a great chance of coming back to power in India
"NDA is not the symbol of coalition and compulsion but the symbol of coalition and contribution. In NDA, no party is small or big. We all are walking together towards the same goal," PM Modi said
PM Modi said there should be competition in politics but the leaders should not behave like enemies. Today, the only identity of Opposition is to ‘abuse NDA’
PM Modi said in the last 9 years we have transferred ₹30 lakh crore through Direct Benefit Transfer in the bank accounts of poor and saved around ₹3 lakh crore which earlier used to go in corruption
PM Modi said in the last 9 years, the NDA government has stopped all ways of corruption and stopped leakage in government schemes
PM Modi said that the academicians and researchers has should study the scope of work conducted by NDA government and I am sure it will turn out to be a model for the country
PM Modi said that during the nine year tenure of his government, the focus has been the empowerment of poor
“For NDA, it is nation first, security of the nation first, progress first and empowerment of people first," PM Modi said
“Even when we were in the opposition, we always did positive politics. In opposition, we brought out scams of the then govts but, never insulted the mandate of the people. We never took the help of foreign powers against the ruling governments. We never created hurdles in development schemes meant for the country," PM Modi said
"Another coincidence is associated with this journey of 25 years of NDA. This is the time when our country is taking big steps to achieve a big goal in the coming 25 years. This goal is of a developed India, of a self-reliant India," PM Modi said

"Main allies of NDA are ED, CBI, IT; they should have been presented in the NDA meeting," CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat said
Chirag Paswan touched feet of his estranged uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras and called him a ‘fatherly figure’.
“They are remembering NDA after a long time...Earlier they said that they don't need NDA, they are enough alone. But now they are holding a meeting, which shows that something is wrong," Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said.
"When was the last time an NDA meeting was held. Why they (BJP) have suddenly revived the idea of NDA. For them (BJP) alliance has become a necessity..." National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at the 'The Ashok Hotel' in Delhi for the BJP-led NDA meet that will begin soon.
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan said on Tuesday his party has joined the National Democratic Alliance following a positive discussion with the BJP over his "concerns" and asserted the ruling combine will win all 40 seats in Bihar in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
He also said that he will contest from Hajipur and oust his uncle. The Lok Sabha seat is currently held by his estranged uncle and Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras who, in turn, has reiterated his claim on the constituency.
Union Minister and Apna Dal (Sonelal) president Anupriya Patel has arrived at 'The Ashok Hotel' for the NDA meeting.
“NDA meetings keep happening. There is no scope for seat sharing discussion in this forum . Any discussion on seat-sharing is not even possible in this meeting. For that, parties hold discussion with the BJP leadership in separate meetings," she told PTI.
“It is a matter of immense joy that our valued NDA partners from across India will be attending the meeting in Delhi today. Ours is a time tested alliance which seeks to further national progress and fulfil regional aspirations," the PM tweeted.
Ahead of the NDA meeting, a meeting of senior BJP leaders is underway at the residence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Various issues including issues regarding the upcoming session of Parliament are being discussed in the meeting. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and union ministers Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw and other leaders are present.
“Everyone has the right to take decisions as per their political parties. Those meeting in Bengaluru will work as per they want and we will work as we want," said Praful Patel.
NDA 2023 meet: Union Minister Anupriya Patel spoke on Bengaluru opposition meeting, she said, “In the last two (Lok Sabha) elections, we have seen how the people of the country have rejected all these parties that have gathered in Bengaluru. The popularity of NDA government is rising constantly."
NDA 2023 meet: Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal on Opposition meeting said, “No matter how hard the opposition tries, in 2024, BJP-led NDA govt will be formed. PM Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of the country, again."
NDA meet 2023: Maharashtra cabinet minister Deepak Kesarkar says, "Today is the NDA meeting, Ajit Pawar will attend this meeting. If Sharad Pawar is attending the opposition meeting, it is his own opinion but if Sharad Pawar comes here (in NDA) and gives blessings, it will be good."
NDA meet 2023: Samajwadi Party spokesperson Ameeque Jamei on NDA meeting said, “Why 38 political parties have been invited (to the NDA meeting) when (BJP claims that) PM Modi alone in enough for the opposition? 36 out of these 38 parties have no member in the Parliament, they are only present on papers."

While declining to share details of his talks with BJP leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda, he asserted that his concerns have been addressed positively by them.
He, however, made it clear that his party will contest from Hajipur, a Lok Sabha seat currently represented by his estranged uncle and Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras.

NDA meet 2023: Samrat Choudhary, President of Bihar unit of the BJP said, "Congress insulted Nitish Kumar as soon as he reached Bengaluru. Congress Party made it clear that Nitish Kumar is an unstable Prime Ministerial candidate and cannot be trusted. There is no conflict within the NDA. NDA meet 2023: Rashtriya Lok Janta Dal President Upendra Kushwaha, said, " We've joined NDA. There is no alternative to PM Modi, we will fight the elections together and will form the govt in 2024."
NDA meet 2023: Ahead of the NDA meeting today, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan said, "All is well in NDA. Talks were going on for a long time. We had some concerns and discussions were held over it and very amicably & positively an agreement was reached. Our aim is the 2024 Lok Sabha and 2025 Bihar election...I will contest from Hajipur..."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said people see it as a gathering of the “corrupt" and alleged that these parties provide cover to each other when “their corruption is exposed".
He took jibe at the opposition parties, using words like “jamat" and ‘kunba’ and urged people to stay alert.
"People of the country say that this is a 'Kattar bhrashtachar sammelan'...Another speciality of this meeting is that if someone is out on bail in a corruption of crores of Rupees, they are seen with great respect. If the entire family is out on bail, they are more honoured...If someone insults a community and is punished by the court, he is honoured," he said.
Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari has said that his party is not aligned with the BJP or opposition and stressed that its commitment is to New Delhi and the interest of Jammu and Kashmir.
Being a border region, Jammu and Kashmir cannot afford to be disconnected from the Union government, he said.
Bukhari said, "We have to stand with Delhi. That is in the national interest. That is in the interest of my people."
While two major parties of Jammu and Kashmir -- the National Conference (NC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) -- have sided with the other opposition parties, Apni Party has identified itself as politically neutral.
"We are with New Delhi. We are neither with BJP nor with the opposition. We are neither with those parties who have gone to Bengaluru nor with the other (BJP-led NDA).
"As far as the Apni Party is concerned, we stand with Delhi. Tomorrow, you can also presume that we can be with the party that rules in Delhi. However, there is the least possibility of that party (Congress coming to power at the Centre)," Bukhari told PTI in a video interview here.
NDA meet 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "...Those who have gathered (opposition), all of them stay silent when asked about their corruption charges...There was violence during the West Bengal panchayat elections and all of them were quiet. Congress and Left workers were pleading for their safety. But their leaders were selfish enough to leave the workers in that dire situation...In Tamil Nadu, there are several cases of corruption now being exposed but they (opposition) have already claimed a clean chit."
