New Parliament inauguration: Central Sectt, Udyog Bhawan metro station gates shut
Earlier on Saturday, the Delhi Police released a traffic advisory, outlining the necessary measures to ensure smooth traffic flow and heightened security during the event.

In light of the inauguration ceremony for the new Parliament building, all entry and exit gates at the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations have been temporarily closed for passenger movement.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in a tweet said, “All entry and exit gates of Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations have been closed for passenger movement. Interchange facilities are available at Central Secretariat."
Nevertheless, passengers can still avail interchange facilities at Central Secretariat.
Earlier on Saturday, the Delhi Police released a traffic advisory, outlining the necessary measures to ensure smooth traffic flow and heightened security during the event.
The advisory designates the New Delhi district as a controlled area and imposes strict regulations on vehicle entry in the vicinity. Access will be limited to specific categories of vehicles, such as public transport, civil service aspirants, residents, labelled vehicles, and emergency vehicles. Only authorized vehicles falling under these categories will be allowed entry into the designated area.
The Delhi Traffic Police emphasized the importance of proper journey planning and advised the public to steer clear of the New Delhi district from 5:30 am to 3 pm on the day of the inauguration.
The area of the New Delhi District will be treated as a controlled area. Only public transport vehicles, Civil Service aspirants, bonafide residents, labelled vehicles and emergency vehicles will be allowed to move into New Delhi District, the traffic advisory read.
The area enclosed by Mother Teresa Ceresent Road, R/A Talkatora, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, R/A Gol Dak Khana, Ashok Road, R/A Patel Chowk, Ashok Road, R/A Windsor Place, Janpath, R/A MLNP, Akbar Road, R/A Gol Methi, Akbar Road, R/A GKP, Teen Murti Marg, R/A Teen Murti & Mother Teresa Crescent Road will be treated as regulated area, while only Civil Service aspirants, bonafide residents, labelled vehicles and emergency vehicles will be allowed to move within this area.
