Odisha train accident: YouTuber CarryMinati conducts charity livestream, raises over ₹13.37 lakh

A horrific three train crash killed 275 people and injured more than 1100 others on Friday, sending shockwaves across the world. As rescue operations continued and the family members of victims rushed to the accident site, YouTuber Ajey Nagar had conducted a charity livestream to help those affected. The session raised nearly ₹12 lakh, with the content creator adding another ₹1.5 lakh to the pool.
"I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported the charity stream yesterday. Thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to raise a total of INR 11,87,611.64 by 1 pm today. To further enhance the impact, I have personally added INR 1.5 lacs, bringing the total to INR 13,37,612," the popular YouTuber wrote.
Nagar added that he would continue to provide regular updates in case offline donations were sent later. “I feel immensely proud and grateful for all of you. Bohot bohot shukriya yaar," he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the root cause behind the three-train crash in Odisha's Balasore district and the people responsible for it had been identified. Officials are now working to restore normal services on the affected tracks over the next few days.
