New Parliament Building Inauguration Live: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28. The new Parliament building will enable 888 members to sit in the Lok Sabha.

New Parliament building Inauguration Live Updates: India's new Parliament building is scheduled to be inaugurated on Sunday i.e. 28 May. Over the inauguration, the opposition parties have raised objections saying that the President and not the Prime Minister should inaugurate the new Parliament building. As many as 20 Opposition parties, including Congress, the Trinamool Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have issued a boycott call.

The government has also received a confirmed list of 25 political parties, including some which are not a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), that will participate in the inauguration ceremony.

SC advocate files complaint against Kharge, Kejriwal over "provocative" remarks

A complaint was lodged by a Supreme Court advocate on Saturday against Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of Congress, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, and others. 

As reported by ANI, the complaint accuses them of making "provocative" remarks regarding the caste of President Murmu in relation to the inauguration of the new parliament building on May 28. The complaint condemns these statements made by influential political leaders for promoting animosity among different communities and targeting the elected government.

The complainant has urged Sanjay Arora, IPS, the Commissioner of Police in Delhi, to register a First Information Report against them and take strict legal action.
