Partnership with India 'one of the most consequential', says US Principal Deputy Spokesperson ahead of PM Modi's visit
US Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel spoke on the question of PM Narendra Modi's official state visit to the US.

Vedant Patel, the US Principal Deputy Spokesperson, has emphasised the significance of the partnership between the United States and India, stating that it is one of the most “consequential" relationships for both nations.
He highlighted the close collaboration between the two governments on key priorities and expressed anticipation for hosting the Indian government later in the month. Patel stressed on the commitment to deepening engagement on various critical issues, including the climate crisis, promoting an open and secure technology ecosystem, upholding a free and open Indo-Pacific region, and enhancing trade and security cooperation.
“We work closely with the Indian Govt on some of our most vital priorities & we look forward to hosting them here later this month and continuing to deepen our engagement on these issues, whether it be concerning the climate crisis, fostering an open and accessible secure technology ecosystem, upholding a free and open Indo-Pacific, deepening our trade and security cooperation as well," he said.

Furthermore, Patel said that, like with other nations, the United States would engage directly with governments on human rights issues, with a focus on matters that align with American interests. The statement was made in response to a question regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official state visit to the US, as reported by ANI.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US later in June serves as a testament to the strong and enduring partnership between the two nations, an eminent Indian-American community leader has said.
Ajay Jain Bhutoria said PM Modi is very popular in the US because of development India has seen under him.
