UIDAI has opened an Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Chennai where anyone can update demographic details like address and phone number
One can also apply for a new Aadhaar card at the centres

Updating address and mobile number in your Aadhaar card records is now easier as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has opened a new Aadhaar centre in Chennai. Citizens can even book an online appointment to get a date and time slot according to their choice. UIDAI is running the facility on the lines of Passport Seva Kendras run by the ministry of external affairs.
UIDAI has announced on Twitter that Chennai has got its first Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Ten Square Mall in Koyembedu area. The following services are available at the Aadhaar centre: Aadhaar enrolment, name update, address update, mobile number update, email ID update, date of birth update, gender update, biometric (photo + fingerprints + Iris) update.
Appointments can be booked online on the UIDAI website here by sharing your mobile and Aadhaar number. The Chennai Aadhaar Seva Kendra is open from 9.30 am to 6 pm on all days of the week except Tuesday. Aadhaar enrolment is free while update is charged at ₹50.
The UIDAI has opened such Aadhaar seva kendras in other cities also - Delhi, Bhopal, Agra, Hisar, Vijayawada and Chandigarh.
UIDAI CEO Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey said they plan to open 114 such centres in 53 cities across the country for providing hassle-free Aadhaar enrolment and update services to the people with prior appointment. By the end of this year 2019, all such centres will be operational.
Aadhaar Seva Kendras have comfortable air-conditioned environment having 16/8 enrolment counters, 80/40 seated waiting areas and electronic token system beside other amenities.
These Aadhaar Seva Kendras are in addition to Aadhaar Kendras those are located in banks, post offices, BSNL customer centres, and other government offices.
