Plea against Rahul Gandhi over seditious comments transferred to district judge

  • The petition was moved against Rahul Gandhi on a complaint filed for making a derogatory statement at a public meeting against PM Modi
  • Patiala house court transfers the matter to the district and session judge’s court for further directions

NEW DELHI : The Patiala house court on Monday has transferred a matter related to a criminal complaint against Rahul Gandhi for seditious remarks to the district and session judge’s court for further directions.

The petition was moved against Rahul Gandhi on a complaint filed for making a derogatory statement at a public meeting against PM Modi, accusing him of hiding behind the blood of soldiers and doing dalaali on soldiers' sacrifice. Criminal compliant was filed in Delhi's Patiala house court under Section-124A (sedition) against Rahul Gandhi.

The complaint was filed by advocate Joginder Tuli. He said that Rahul Gandhi has given speeches that PM is doing dalali of the jawans. Police should have taken action. Uttering words openly in the public is highly wrong. Nobody has a right to say things against the soldiers."

The petition was being heard by M.M. Preeti Parewa.
