PM Modi to share video message with public tomorrow at 9 am

Amid the ongoing 21-day lockdown in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would be sharing a video message with the citizens tomorrow, Friday at 9 am.

"At 9 am tomorrow morning, I’ll share a small video message with my fellow Indians," PM Modi tweeted in English and Hindi.

India is currently on a 21-day lockdown since 25 March, 2020 due to the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country.

During this time, PM Modi has been sharing a number of creative ideas to make the best use of the quarantine period. The prime minister has also been advocating a series of yoga exercises to the citizens to stay fit while at home.

Recently, he shared a video on 'Yoga Nidra' — a yoga asana which he practices at least twice a week.

"Whenever I get time, I practice Yoga Nidra once or twice a week," he wrote on Twitter. Yoga Nidra is known for relieving stress. "It furthers overall well-being, relaxes the mind, reduces stress and anxiety," he added.

According to details available on various websites, 'yoga nidra helps relieve stress, during this time.

Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat also shared how Indians were making the best use of their time during the lockdown.

Recently, Modi also discussed responses to Covid-19 pandemic with Indian Indian Heads of Missions (HoMs) via video conference.

In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, "The prime minister noted that extraordinary times require extraordinary solutions, which was why even in this globalized era, most of the world had quarantined itself."

Apart from that, Modi held a meeting with chief ministers on the outbreak via video-conferencing on Thursday.

The number of COVID-19 cases climbed to 1,965 in the country on Thursday while the death toll rose to 50, according to the Union Health Ministry
