Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise announcement to leave social media on Monday left many of his followers and critique second-guessing the reason behind Modi's sudden change of heart. PM today on Twitter made it clear that he is no mood to let go of his account but he will give away my social media accounts to women whose life and work inspires the people in India.
PM tweeted, "This Women's Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs."
This was the first time that Modi, who has more than 130 million followers across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, has spoken about quitting the sites.
"This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted,” Modi tweeted on Monday. PM's tweet had went viral through out the internet and had garnered lakhs of reactions in matter of hours.
