Pragati Maidan metro station renamed as Supreme Court metro station

NEW DELHI : The Kejriwal government in Delhi on Tuesday announced the renaming of Pragati Maidan metro station as the Supreme Court metro station.

Addressing a press conference, Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said the Delhi government's naming committee has decided to rename the Pragati Maidan metro station as Supreme Court metro station.

The committee has also decided to rename Mukarba Chowk on Delhi's Outer Ring Road and its flyover after Kargil war martyr Captain Vikram Batra and MB Road as Acharya Sri Mahapragya Marg, Sisodia added.


The Delhi Deputy chief minister said the entire renaming process including changing of audio in metro train announcements will be done in a month.

"Mukarba Chowk and the flyover have been renamed by the naming committee as Captain Vikram Batra Chowk after the martyr who sacrificed his life in the Kargil War," ANI reported.
