Rajkot, Delhi Fire News Live Updates: The death toll in Gujarat's Rajkot gaming room fire has reached 32. In Delhi, two fire accidents took place in Vivek Vihar and Shahdara that claimed seven lives of newborn babies and three persons respectively.

Rajkot, Delhi Fire News Live Updates: As many as 32 people have been killed in the Rajkot gaming room fire incident on Saturday. The fire broke out at a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, at around 4.30 pm on May 25, resulting in the loss of lives, including children. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, who visited the site early on May 26, told ANI that an SIT investigation had been initiated. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced on May 25 that the state government will provide 4 lakh ex-gratia to the families of the deceased and 50,000 to the injured. 

In Delhi, two fire accidents took place in Vivek Vihar and Shahdara since Saturday night. A massive fire broke out at a children's hospital in Delhi's Vivek Vihar area that claimed seven newborn babies's lives and injured five other kids. The remaining five kids have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. On the other hand, three people died, and three were injured after a fire broke out at a building in Delhi's Krishna Nagar at around 2 am on Sunday. 

“This incident of fire in a children's hospital is heartbreaking. We all stand with those who lost their innocent children in this accident. Government and administration officials are busy treating the injured at the spot. The causes of the incident are being investigated and whoever is responsible for this negligence will not be spared," Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.

“When post-mortem is done, it is taken care to identify the area which is least burnt so that the sample can be taken. Then this sample should be sent to a forensic lab facility at the earliest. If a tissue sample is taken, then the probability of matching the DNA increases and can be done quickly," PTI quoted Nikunj Brahma Bhatt as saying.

Rajkot, Delhi Fire News Live Updates: Raju Bhargava, Police Commissioner, Rajkot said that they have sent a proposal to the Home Department to appoint a special PP (Public Prosecutor). He added that the SIT team formed by the Gujarat government will give their report and after that,  they will take further action. "It is being investigated whether they had FIR NOC or not...Both the arrested accused will be produced in the court tomorrow," news agency quoted him saying. 

Earlier, he also confirmed that till last night they recovered 27 dead bodies, which were shifted to Civil Hospital and after taking DNA samples, they were sent for sampling to FSL and the process of matching them is still going on. “FIR was registered against 6 people under IPC sections 304, 308, 336, 338, 114. Manager Nitin Jain and one Yuvraj Solanki have been arrested. Special teams are working to arrest the other accused…," he added.

The head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the Rajkot fire tragedy case on Sunday said that a detailed probe will be conducted and responsible persons will be identified.

A massive fire broke out at a gaming zone in Gujarat's Rajkot city on May 25 evening resulting in the loss of 27 lives including children.
