Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan faces online criticism for sharing his voice-over on the new Parliament building, which sparked a debate among netizens.

While some lauded his patriotic sentiments and support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, others questioned his involvement in political matters and accused him of being biased.

Despite the trolling, Khan stands by his tweet, emphasizing the significance of the new Parliament building in representing the diverse people of India and upholding the country's constitutional values.

In addition, Shah Rukh Khan faced criticism for his silence regarding the ongoing protest of the wrestlers sitting under the open sky at Jantar Mantar.

A username with Nadim Ahmad Sheikh replied, “Whether you call it devotion or compulsion, the daughters of the country have been sitting under the open sky at Jantar Mantar for a month, and you don't have a single word for them."

Shah Rukh Khan's tweet receives a mixed response, including a reply stating, "Well Played Prime Minister. Now Leftists can COPE."

Many people question why the prominent actor, known for his influential voice and social commentary, has refrained from addressing significant matters affecting the nation. The absence of his opinion sparks debates about the role of celebrities in speaking up on pressing issues and the expectations placed upon them by the public.

Another username, Shweta Soni, said, “What a Spineless man you are! You couldn’t even speak up for your own countrymen.. shameful."

Hitendra Pithadiya said, "There must have been some compulsion, otherwise this tweet wouldn't have been possible. Many people believe so."

India's new Parliament building is scheduled to be inaugurated on Sunday, 28 May, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Ahead of the inauguration, Adheenams from Tamil Nadu, handed over the ‘Sengol’, a historic sceptre, to PM Narendra Modi. Over the inauguration, the opposition parties have raised objections claiming that the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and not the Prime Minister should inaugurate the new Parliament building.

As many as 20 Opposition parties, including Congress, the Trinamool Congress (TMC), and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have issued a boycott call.
