Domestic carrier SpiceJet has announced cheaper airfares as the airline completes its 18th anniversary.
SpiceJet commenced its first flight operation on 23 May 2005. The first SpiceJet flight flew from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Now as the airline is celebrating its 18th anniversary, they have announced starting ticket flight at ₹1,818. The Gurugram-headquartered airline has announced a special sale for one-way domestic fares from ₹1,818 only. The offer is available on routes like Bengaluru-Goa and Mumabi-Goa. Passengers can take advantage of the sale from 23 May to 28 May. Passengers can book flights under the offer from 1 July to 30 March 2024, according to a report by Zee News.
Moreover, the air carrier also distributes free vouchers up to ₹3,000 to those passengers who have 18 in 2023 or are going to be. Under this offer, passengers can book their favourite seats at flat ₹18 and 50% off at SpiceMax-spacious economy-class seating.
SpiceJet is an IATA-IOSA certified airline that operates a fleet of Boeing 737s and Q-400s and is one of the country's largest regional players operating multiple daily flights under Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik or UDAN or the Regional Connectivity Scheme. The majority of the airline's fleet offers SpiceMax.
announced the appointment of Arun Kashyap as its chief operating officer with effect from June 12.
Arun Kashyap will report to Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet, in his new role.
Kashyap is an accomplished industry veteran with 25 years of experience and joins SpiceJet from Air India where he is the chief technical officer. This is his second stint at SpiceJet, having previously served as chief program and transformation officer at the airline. He has previously also worked with flydubai, Jet Airways and Oman Air.
