The TTD is set to lay the foundation stone on 7 June and Devasthanams chairman Y V Subba Reddy has also invited CM Eknath Shinde for the bhoomi poojan, a report by Times of India has stated.

The report has stated that the replica image of the Balaji Temple will be constructed and the proposal for the same was made few years ago. As per the TOI report, the state government had allocated about 10 acres of land in Navi Mumbai's Ulwe area in the year 2022. The estimated construction cost of the temple is 70 crore, however the temple trust has said that the construction of the temple in Navi Mumbai will be done with the help of donor-devotees.

This would also be the sixth Balaji Temple constructed outside of Andhra Pradesh, with the TTD having previously built temples in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kanyakumari, Delhi, and Bhubaneswar.

Earlier on 31 May, TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy had laid the foundation stone for the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple at Karimnagar in Telangana amidst chants of Vedic mantras and rituals.

TTD, the official custodian of the Tirupati temple would be building the new temple at a cost of 20 crore in 10 acres of land provided by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

According to the press release by the TTD, "The complex consists of sub-temples for Sri Padmavati, Sri Andalamma, compound wall, parking etc. The temple is to be completed in two years and all services will be held as in Srivari temple at Tirumala."

While laying the foundation, Subba Reddy had highlighted that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed TTD to build temples across the country.
