Srinagar: Train service in Kashmir Valley will remain suspended on Tuesday. As per a notice, "There are apprehensions of law and order situation in Kashmir Valley. The Banihal-Baramulla route will be suspended on Tuesday."

Tuesday is the death anniversary of JKLF leader Maqbool Bhat.

Earlier, train service was suspended on Republic Day.

The train service between Banihal and Baramulla takes 16 to and fro trips, covering the entire length of the Valley. More than 20,000 people use the train service every day.

The train service remained suspended for the longest period of time, almost 100 days, due to the revocation of Article 370 last year. The service resumed on November 26.
