Tuhin Kanta Pandey appointed DIPAM Secretary; Pankaj Kumar is new UIDAI CEO

New Delhi: In the second major bureaucratic reshuffle since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came back to power in May, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) secretary Anil Kumar Khachi has been repatriated back to his parent cadre “on personal ground with immediate effect".
Khachi, a 1986-batch Himachal Pradesh IAS officer, was appointed DIPAM secretary in July this year. Tuhin Kumar Pandey, a 1987-batch IAS officer currently serving in his home cadre Odisha, has been appointed the new DIPAM secretary.
Pandey will take over as the DIPAM secretary at a time when government is preparing a second shot at privatizing Air India and the department was about to invite bids by end of this month. Pankaj Kumar is new CEO, UIDAI,
Sanjeev Nandan Sahai, currently serving as special secretary in the Ministry of Power has been appointed as the secretary in the ministry, on retirement of Subhash Chandra Garg.
Garg, who was serving as the finance secretary, was unceremoniously shifted to the Power Ministry in July.
Sahai will take over his responsibilities at the critical infrastructure ministry amid a crisis faced by distribution companies due to their poor financial health, leading to delays in payments to power generation utilities.
