Unemployment in Chhattisgarh less than than national unemployment rate of 23.5%
Chhattisgarh's unemployment rate hit a 12-month low of 3.4% in Apr 2020, according to a survey conducted by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). Over a longer time period, unemployment has moved from 22.2% in Sep 2018 to its current rate.
Unemployment in Chhattisgarh was less than than the national rate of 23.5%. Nationwide, unemployment was highest in Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, and Bihar at 49.8%, 47.1%, and 46.6% respectively.
