Three-four buffaloes suddenly came on the way of Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat, damaging the nose made up of FRP (fiber reinforced plastic), the railway spokesperson said. No functional part of the train was damaged in the accident, the official added.

The railway spokesperson said the train moved just after removing carcasses of the buffaloes and reached Gandhinagar on time. The Railways is trying to counsel nearby villagers not to leave cattle near the track, the spokesperson further added.

The Western Railway (WR) had yesterday reduced the travelling time of the newly-introduced Vande Bharat superfast express train. According to a release issued by the WR, the Vande Bharat Superfast Express would take five minutes less to cover Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar distance and it would arrive 20 minutes early at Mumbai Central from Gandhinagar.
