To improve the travelling experience of passengers, Indian Railways has reduced the travel time of the country's 13th Vande Bharat Express train by 15 minutes. Now, the semi-high-speed train operating between Secunderabad and Tirupati will complete its journey in 8 hours and 15 minutes.
Earlier, the train was scheduled to complete the distance in 8 hours and 30 minutes. The new timing will be effective from Wednesday, 17 May 2023. In addition to this, the Railway Ministry has doubled the passenger capacity of the train by adding 8 more coaches to the Vande Bharat Express.
The blue and white colour train has gained huge popularity among passengers. The reduced travel time with extra facilities for a comfortable journey will overall improve the passenger experience, said Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, of South Central Railway (SCR).
The decision to double the number of coaches to 16 was made in the wake of rising demand for seats on Vande Bharat Express train on Secunderabat-Tirupati-Secunderabad route.
