Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's eyes turned teary as he remembered former education minister Manish Sisodia for his remarkable contributions to the field of education. CM Kejriwal expressed deep appreciation for Sisodia's work in transforming Delhi's education system while inaugurating a new branch of B R Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence in Bawana.

"I am missing Manish Sisodia today. Manish Sisodia started this aiming to provide quality education to one and all. They framed false charges against him and unjustly jailed him".

The Delhi CM said Sisodia will be "granted bail very soon".

"I am sure that Manish Sisodia will come out of jail very soon. Truth always wins. He has been jailed because he has been building good schools and the Aam Aadmi Party is getting popular," the xx-year-old CM said.

Sisodia was arrested in the CBI case on February 26 in connection with its probe into the excise policy after which he resigned as deputy chief minister of Delhi. He was subsequently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 9 and is currently in judicial custody.

Taking a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kejriwal said, "They want to halt the progress of Delhi's education".

"They (BJP) want Delhi's education revolution to come to an end but we will not let that happen. Everyone around the world has the same opinion about government schools in Delhi, that our schools are the best," he claimed.

The Delhi Chief Minister also verbally attacked LG over the crime situation in the national capital.

He said criminals in Delhi have become "fearless" and the people are "losing faith" in the police as he took a swipe at Lt Governor VK Saxena, asking him to discharge his constitutional duties instead of doing politics.

The AAP supremo in Hindi wrote, "Everyday news of crime is coming in Delhi. The criminals are fearless, the public is losing faith in the police. LG Saheb takes time out to see how scared the public is. The public wants work to be done and safety, not politics. Please do work assigned to you by the Constitution instead of doing politics".
