According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Ladakh's Leh on Wednesday. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage at this time.
The tremors took place at 11:46 pm at a depth of 10 km.
In a post on X, it said, “EQ of M: 3.5, On: 21/05/2025 23:46:59 IST, Lat: 34.54 N, Long: 78.38 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Leh, Ladakh.”
An earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale struck Betul in Madhya Pradesh during the early hours of Wednesday, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The NCS reported that the tremor occurred at 2:59 AM at a depth of five kilometers. "EQ of M: 2.8, On: 21/05/2025 02:59:44 IST, Lat: 21.73 N, Long: 78.35 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Betul, Madhya Pradesh," it stated on X.
An earthquake of 3.2 magnitude jolted Nepal earlier today at 1:43 am. The NCS said, “EQ of M: 3.2, On: 22/05/2025 01:43:37 IST, Lat: 27.81 N, Long: 84.78 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Nepal.”
An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday afternoon, The tremor was recorded at 3:15 PM IST at a depth of 10 kilometres, the NCS mentioned.
In a post on X, it said, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred on 20/05/2025 at 15:15:53 IST, latitude 17.06°N, longitude 89.62°E, at a depth of 10 km in the Bay of Bengal.”
