Pawan Kalyan gets death threat call, probe launched; Janasena says offensive language used in message
Janasena Party alleged that Janasena Party supremo and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan received death threats and offensive messages from an unidentified caller.
Janasena Party alleged that Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan received death threat from an unidentified person. It noted that the message used offensive language. The matter has been reported to senior police officials for further investigation.
Targeting the Deputy Chief Minister, the person sent derogatory text messages, an official release said on Monday.
The staff manning the Janasena founder's office apprised the actor - politician and also senior police officials of the threatening calls.
"Threatening calls were received at the office of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. An unidentified person made phone calls, issuing death threats. The anonymous caller also sent messages using offensive language targeting the Deputy Chief Minister. The office staff brought the threatening calls and messages to the attention of the Deputy Chief Minister. His office authorities reported the matter to senior police officials," said Janasena Party in a post on X.
Prime Minister gets threat message
Last week, Mumbai police arrested a 37-year-old man from Rajasthan's Ajmer for allegedly sending a threatening message to the Mumbai traffic police. The message threatened to harm Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The accused identified as Mohammad Nadim Baig Mirza, who hails from Jharkhand, was held by a team of Worli police. Investigation revealed that Mohammad Nadim Baig Mirza worked as a turner in a private firm.
On December 4, Bihar Police on Tuesday arrested the accused who allegedly gave death threats to independent MP Pappu Yadav. The held accused was identified as a resident of the Bhojpur area of Bihar, said police.
SP Purnea, Kartikey Sharma said, “We started looking for the person who issued death threats to him. On investigating we found that the person is a resident of the Bhojpur area. On interrogation, no link to the Lawrence Bishnoi group was found. Pappu Yadav had gone to his village 4-5 years ago, and the accused has also been a supporter of the MP.”
