Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is a successful mid-range film, with a mix of positive and negative reviews. The film is eyeing a weekend collection of around Rs. 22 crore and has debunked the notion that mid-range movies should skip theatrical releases and opt for a direct-to-digital route.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, is enjoying a successful run at the box office. The film witnessed decent growth on Saturday, raking in Rs. 7.20 crore and bringing its two-day total to Rs.12.7 crore. In another tweet, he gave the movie an, “Entertaining" review. Drawing inspiration from the iconic film "Piya Ka Ghar" (1972) by Rajshri Productions, starring Anil Dhawan and Jaya Bachchan, and helmed by the legendary Basu Chatterjee, ZHZB takes audiences on a nostalgic journey.
The film's relatable plot, complemented by a melodious soundtrack, and a captivating first hour, serve as its strengths. The performances of Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan add depth and resonance to the narrative, despite occasional shortcomings in the writing department.
However, ZHZB encounters some stumbling blocks in its post-interval portions. The humor at times feels forced, and the writing could have been more impactful and persuasive.
The film received mixed reviews, with a mostly positive response. According to a review from Hindustan Times, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke maintains a good pace throughout its 132-minute runtime and delivers light-hearted humour and funny moments. However, the review also notes that the film loses direction in the second half, lacking focus and coherence.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke revolves around a middle-class couple residing in a joint family but aspiring to own a separate apartment in a high-rise building. The film delves into their decision to plan a divorce, with the reason behind it revealed as the story unfolds. The music of the film, particularly songs like "Phir Aur Kya Chahiye" and "Tere Vaaste," has been well-received by the audience.
