Streaming giant Netflix in a post on X stated, “Nothing can prepare you for the final season of Squid Game. Season 3 premieres June 27.”
An unexpected gift from Netflix Korea surprised Squid Game fans on New Year after a video was accidentally uploaded on the company's YouTube channel. Mentioning the release date, the description said, "Watch ‘Squid Game’ on Netflix on June 27."
The video showed the iconic robot from the series Young-hee being relocated to a new setting, which was deleted later. The teaser was titled “Squid Game Season 3, 2025 Release.” Realty check as per latest update confirms the same release date.
The first season of Squid Game released worldwide on September 17 in the year 2021 which received critical acclaim and international attention. It emerged as US streaming giant Netflix's most-watched series within a few days of its release. Squid Game Season 1 generated a revenue of $900 million for Netflix shortly after its debut, according to Bloomberg.
