A day after news broke that adult film star Sophia Leone passed away due to reasons not public yet, another actor from the same industry Emily Willis is reported to be in vegetative coma due to cardiac arrest. Emily Willis was found unresponsive in rehab last month and was admitted to a hospital.
The back-to-back health complications for adult film stars are raising doubts around the adult film industry and recently as many as four adult film actors have died. Before Sophia Leone's news, Kagney Lee, Emily Willis, and Jesse Jane passed away due to different reasons.
Who is Emily Willis?
25-year-old Emily Willis is quite popular on the social media platform Instagram with more than 20 lakh followers. She was born in Argentina but spent most of her life in Utah, USA. Emily Willis worked in the adult film industry for some years but left the space two years ago as she wanted to excel in other fields of the entertainment industry.
Emily Willis was at a celebrity rehab center when she suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital in Thousand Oaks, California. The doctors revealed that she remains in a vegetative coma and is fighting for her life.
Her brother Michael spoke with the New York Post and gave an update about her case and said that her condition is stabilised but the family is bracing for the worst. He also rejected the police reports as “inaccurate” which claimed that Emily Willis suffered a drug overdose.
“Regarding the reports of an overdose, we want to clarify that they are not accurate as far as the doctors and my family know. Emily was receiving the treatment and help she needed at the time of the incident to overcome her struggles,” he said.
“She retired from the adult industry nearly two years ago and had aspirations of success in other fields of entertainment. Those who worked with her in her new career path knew she had the potential to achieve her dreams,” he added.
