Jeet Adani, the youngest son of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, tied the knot with Diva Shah during a ‘simple’ ceremony on Friday — with his father sharing photos on social media. The event was held in Gujarat with only close relatives and friends in attendance. Gautam Adani also donated ₹10,000 crore for various social causes during the occasion.
“With the blessings of Almighty God, Jeet and Diva tied the sacred knot of marriage today. The wedding took place today in Ahmedabad with traditional rituals and Shubh Mangal Bhaav among loved ones. It was a small and extremely private function, so we could not invite all the well-wishers even if we wanted to, for which I apologize. I sincerely seek blessings and love from all of you for my daughter Diva and Jeet,” the Adani Group chairman wrote on X.
According to family insiders, the wedding included the usual religious rituals followed by a ‘traditional Gujarati ceremony attended only by close relatives and friends’.
Gautam Adani also donated ₹10,000 crore for various social causes during the wedding on Friday. The larger part of his donation is expected to go into funding massive infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education and skill development. These initiatives will focus on giving all sections of society access to a network of affordable world-class hospitals and medical colleges, affordable top-tier K-12 schools and advanced global skill academies with assured employability.
The Adani Group chairman had previously insisted that the wedding would be a “simple and traditional” affair with no politicians, celebrities and VVIPs in attendance.
“Jeet's marriage is on 7th February. Our activities are like common people. His marriage will be very simple and with full traditional ways…My upbringing and our way of doing things are that of a common person from the working class. Jeet too is here for Maa Ganga's blessings. The wedding will be a simple and traditional family affair,” he told the media last month while attending the Mahakumbh festival in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.
