Maa Kalaratri, who is prominently worshipped on the seventh day of the Navratri festival, is considered the fiercest and most ferocious form of Goddess Parvati. According to mythology, Goddess Parvati took the form of Maa Kalaratri when she removed her golden skin to kill demons.
Royal Blue is considered as the auspicious colour of the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri 2024. The colour symbolises luxury, spirituality and wisdom. Devotees wear clothes of this colour to imbibe the value of courage and wisdom of Goddess Parvati.
Navratri Day 7 has been dedicated to blue colour because of its resemblance with that of Maa Kalaratri's appearance, who is known for her dark complexion. The garland of skulls around her neck symbolises life's cycle of creation and destruction.
The Brahma muhurat to worship Maa Kalaratri begins at 4:40 am and ends at 5:29 am, according to Drik Panchang. The Vijaya muhurat will last from 2:05 pm to 2:51 pm. Whereas, the Saptami Tithi muhurat timings will be till 12:14 pm on October 9, Wednesday till 12:31 pm on October 10.
