SRH vs DC IPL 2026 Highlights: Abhishek, Eshan guide Sunrisers Hyderabad to 47-run win against Delhi Capitals

Harsh Dubey wraps things up in style with a wicket-filled final over. Axar Patel falls first, mistiming a big shot to deep mid-wicket, before Sameer Rizvi’s fighting knock ends on 41 as he holes out in the deep.

Amid a couple of singles and a leg-bye, Dubey strikes again on the final ball, dismissing Lungi Ngidi for a duck to complete the clean-up.

A three-wicket over to finish as Sunrisers Hyderabad bowl Delhi Capitals out and secure a commanding 47-run victory, capping off a complete performance with both bat and ball.

Sakib Hussain bowls a controlled over, not allowing Delhi Capitals any room to break free. Sameer Rizvi manages a couple early on with a chipped drive, but the rest of the over is all about singles and tight bowling.

Axar Patel rotates strike as well, but there are no boundaries and no real scoring opportunities created.

A quiet over in the context of a big chase, as DC can only chip away with singles and a two, with the result all but sealed.

Delhi Capitals 192/6 after 19 overs.

Eshan Malinga returns to finish things off and continues his impressive spell. Sameer Rizvi starts with a single, while Ashutosh Sharma tries to take him on, managing a couple and a boundary, albeit with a bit of luck off the inside edge.

Malinga mixes it up well with pace-off deliveries and yorkers, also bowling a couple of wides, but keeps control overall. He gets his reward on the final ball, as Ashutosh miscues another attempt and is caught, ending his brief cameo.

Another wicket for Malinga as DC slip further, with the chase all but out of reach now.

Delhi Capitals 186/6 after 18 overs.

Harsh Dubey is taken on in this over as Ashutosh Sharma looks to inject some momentum. He starts by rotating strike, while Sameer Rizvi gets a life with a dropped catch in the deep, allowing DC to pick up a couple more.

Ashutosh then finds his range, knocking the ball down the ground for two before finishing the over with a clean boundary straight down the ground.

There’s also a review for LBW that stays with umpire’s call, going DC’s way. DC collect useful runs, but the asking rate remains steep despite the late push.

Delhi Capitals 177/5 after 17 overs

Delhi Capitals try to keep the chase alive through Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs. Rizvi takes on Nitish Reddy with a couple of big sixes in a 16-run over, while Stubbs also finds boundaries, including a clean straight hit and an inventive reverse scoop. The pair add quick runs and push DC past 150, showing some late resistance.

However, SRH keep striking at key moments. Eshan Malinga returns to break the stand, dismissing Stubbs for 27 with a clever slower ball, picking up his third wicket of the night. Despite a brief flourish from Stubbs with two boundaries in the over, the wicket halts momentum again.

DC reach 167/5 after 16 overs, still scoring but losing wickets at regular intervals, with the required rate firmly out of reach and SRH maintaining control.

Shivang Kumar is taken on straight away as Sameer Rizvi launches the first ball for a six over long-on, showing some intent. However, the rest of the over is well controlled.

Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs manage only singles and dots after that early hit, unable to build any sustained pressure.

Eshan Malinga produces a game-changing over, ripping through the middle order. He strikes twice in two balls, first removing a set batter and then cleaning up David Miller for a golden duck, leaving DC in deep trouble and staring at a hat-trick.

Tristan Stubbs survives the hat-trick ball, but DC manage just a couple of singles in the rest of the over with no real momentum.

Just when Delhi Capitals are building momentum, Sakib Hussain strikes a crucial blow. KL Rahul throws it away, mistiming a full toss on the pads straight to deep backward square, where Abhishek Sharma takes a simple catch.

It’s a massive wicket for SRH as Rahul departs for 37, breaking a strong partnership at a key moment in the chase. DC slip just as they were looking to accelerate further.

Sakib Hussain returns but Nitish Rana continues his strong run. He brings up his 21st IPL fifty with a well-placed boundary behind square and follows it up with another four, making room and slicing it over backward point.

This comes right after an aggressive over from KL Rahul, who had already struck a six and picked up a couple of twos against Nitish Reddy to keep the pressure on.

DC move to 106/2 after 9.2 overs, with both Rahul and Rana in full flow, keeping the chase alive with attacking intent.

Rahul supports with singles as DC surge to 86/1 after 8 overs, showing strong intent despite

Dilshan Madushanka starts well despite conceding a six to Pathum Nissanka, keeping things tight otherwise as DC move to 8/0 after the first over. T Natarajan delivers an excellent penultimate over, conceding just six runs with pinpoint yorkers and slower balls, briefly slowing SRH’s charge as both Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen are restricted to singles and a rare dot.

But Mukesh Kumar’s final over goes the distance as SRH explode once again. Klaasen starts with a boundary and then produces a stunning shot for six off a near-yorker, showcasing immense power. Abhishek joins in with a cleverly placed boundary before rotating strike, while Klaasen continues to find the ropes even off mishits.

A 20-run final over caps off a dominant finish as SRH post a massive 242/2, with Abhishek’s remarkable 135 and Klaasen’s late fireworks sealing a commanding total.

SRH explode in the death overs with Abhishek Sharma leading a brutal assault. Nitish Rana’s over goes for 23 as Abhishek brings up a brilliant century with a six and continues to clear the ropes, although Ishan Kishan is run out at the non-striker’s end to briefly halt momentum. Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan try to pull things back, but Abhishek keeps finding boundaries and smart running, racing past 110 while SRH cross the 200-run mark.

Kuldeep Yadav is taken apart in the 11th over as SRH pile on the runs. Ishan Kishan leads the charge, dancing down the track to launch a six over long-on before following it up with a swept boundary.

He keeps the scoreboard ticking with a single, and Abhishek Sharma joins the assault, stepping out to loft one cleanly over long-off for six and then rotating strike.

Kishan finishes the over in style, smashing a powerful drive straight back past the bowler for four.

A massive over for SRH, 22 runs come off it as both batters dominate Kuldeep and shift the momentum firmly.

SRH 126/1 after 11 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav delivers a steady over, conceding just eight runs, though Abhishek Sharma finds a boundary with a clean loft straight down the ground. Axar Patel is then taken on in the next over as Abhishek brings up his half-century (off 25 balls) and both batters clear the ropes once each, but Axar strikes a key blow by dismissing Travis Head for 37, caught at deep mid-wicket to break the opening stand. Ishan Kishan walks in and gets off the mark as SRH push to 104/1 after 10 overs.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma rotate strike throughout, picking up singles with nudges and clips into the gaps, while Head also manages a cut shot for a couple.

No boundaries in the over as Axar sticks to a disciplined line and length, not allowing the batters to free their arms.

SRH move to 74/0 at the end of 7 overs, a steady but comparatively quieter return.

Nitish Rana comes under heavy attack here. Abhishek Sharma sets the tone early, smashing a tossed-up delivery inside-out over cover for six, and then follows it up with another powerful pull over long-on for a second maximum.

He rotates strike with a single before Travis Head takes over. After a couple of quieter deliveries, including a wide and a dot, Head finishes the over in style, dancing down the track and launching one high over long-on for six.

A massive over for SRH, yielding 20 runs as both batters go on the offensive and put Rana under serious pressure.

Lungi Ngidi comes on and Travis Head starts with a single through cover. But it’s Abhishek Sharma who takes control of the over against the slower balls.

A low full-toss is mistimed first, but Ngidi’s variations don’t quite land. A juicy full-toss is heaved through mid-wicket for four, followed by another overpitched slower ball that Abhishek lofts over the infield for another boundary.

Ngidi manages a couple of dots with his change of pace, but Abhishek still finds gaps, finishing with a single.

Mukesh Kumar continues and Travis Head takes him on straight away, swivelling a short ball through mid-wicket for two before punishing another short delivery with a powerful pull for four.

Mukesh pulls his length back slightly, getting one driven back at him and then a single to long-off. He bangs one in short as Abhishek Sharma charges, but the batter swings and misses.

Abhishek finishes the over in style, slashing a full ball to sweeper cover for four.
