SRH vs DC IPL 2026 Highlights: Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a dominant batting display to post a massive 242/2 after 20 overs, built around a sensational innings from Abhishek Sharma. After a steady start in the powerplay (67/0), Abhishek and Travis Head shifted gears, taking on both pace and spin to lay a strong platform. Head contributed a brisk 37 before falling to Axar Patel, breaking the opening stand.
From there, Abhishek took complete control of the innings. He smashed his century in style with back-to-back sixes and continued to attack relentlessly, clearing the ropes at will and anchoring the innings with a stunning 135 off 68 balls. Ishan Kishan 25 (13) chipped in with a quick cameo before being run out, but the momentum never dips.
Heinrich Klaasen provided the perfect finishing touch, smashing 37 off just 13 balls with clean, powerful hitting in the death overs. Despite a brief slowdown in the 19th over, SRH exploded in the final over to cross 240.
Chasing a daunting 243, Delhi Capitals started with intent as KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka found early boundaries, but the momentum was checked quickly when Dilshan Madushanka dismissed Nissanka. Rahul and Nitish Rana then rebuilt strongly, counterattacking with regular boundaries and taking DC close to the 100-run mark, with Rana bringing up a well-made fifty and Rahul looking set on 37.
Just when the chase threatened to gain traction, SRH struck back decisively. Sakib Hussain dismissed Rahul off a full toss, and from there, the innings unravelled. Eshan Malinga turned the game completely with a brilliant spell, picking up key wickets including a double strike of Nitish Rana and David Miller and later removing Tristan Stubbs, and Ashutosh sharma, finishing with four crucial wickets. The middle order struggled to keep up with the rising required rate despite brief resistance.
Sameer Rizvi provided some fight with a handy 41, but the pressure of the steep chase proved too much. SRH kept things tight in the death overs, with disciplined bowling and regular wickets halting any hopes of a comeback.
Harsh Dubey finished the job with a three-wicket final over as DC finished at 195/9 after 20 overs, handing Sunrisers Hyderabad a comprehensive 47-run victory after a complete all-round performance.
