Who is Srikanth Bolla? Meet Philanthropist and Shark Tank India’s new judge

Srikanth Bolla, the Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries, a paper-based products manufacturing company, joined the panel as a new judge of the business entertainment TV show Shark Tank India, according to his social media posts on Instagram. 

“To survive a pool of sharks, you need to become one yourself,” said Bolla in his post, sharing several photos with other well-known judges like Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, etc.

Bolla highlighted how he received the opportunity to become a judge and an angel investor in this TV show despite being visually impaired. However, in the corporate world, Bolla has established himself as a philanthropist running his company, Bollant Industries.

“So yes, I got an opportunity to become a shark on Shark Tank India. Being on the set made me realize that dreams aren’t just for thinkers— they’re for the doers! It was a blast meeting all these accomplished entrepreneurs in the panel and the pitches made were very inspiring — smelled innovation in the air!” he said in his social media post. 

Who is Srikanth Bolla?

Srikanth Bolla is the Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries, who has a Business Management degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He finished his higher secondary degree at the Royal Junior College and his secondary schooling at the Devnar School for the Blind in Hyderabad. 

In his more than three decades of experience in the corporate world, Srikanth Bolla started out working for General Electric India as a project intern, then eventually joined IT major Infosys also as an intern.

After working with the company for nearly 5 months, he joined the International Development Club at MIT and also worked with the Sinha Lab for Developmental Research as a research assistant.

In 2021, Bolla co-founded the Samanvai Centre for Children with Multiple Disabilities, a non-profit agency. Later in 2021 he also became the Vice President of Lead India Foundation.

He founded his company Bollant Industries in the year 2012 with an aim of contributing to a fast-growing, eco-friendly paper and paper-based products industry.
