Gunfire erupts at Ohio mass shooting event, at least 9 injured at East End music venue

At least nine people were reported injured early Sunday in Cincinnati, Ohio at East End music venue after a mass shooting incident.
The incident occurred at 4343 Kellogg Avenue, local police said, as per a report by FOX19. The location of the shooting incident matches with the location of the popular live music venue Riverfront Live, the publication reported.
DJ Fresh, who was set to perform at the venue late on Saturday had posted on Instagram about a birthday celebration to be held at Riverfront Live.
There has been no description given of the suspect as of yet and neither has there been any confirmation by the police on whether the shooting occurred at Riverfront Live.
“This investigation is still ongoing,” the CPD said at around 3:30 on Sunday, FOX19 reported.
‘Son shot four times…’ victim's mother says
Antoinette Coates told FOX19 that her 35-year-old son was among those injured in the shooting, adding that he was shot four times but is expected to recover.
“If you’re going to host these parties, make sure people are safe,” she said. “It seems like no one is checking who’s coming in. Guns are getting through, and that kind of carelessness could have cost my son his life," the media outlet quoted Coates as saying.
‘Three men came from back…’ - Eyewitness recounts
An eyewitness, who did not wish to be named, told FOX19 that he saw a person on the floor being attacked by four to five others before being “knocked unconscious.”
About 10 to 15 minutes later, he said he saw “three dudes came from the back and shoot the club up and ran out the way they came in.”
Police have not confirmed whether the shooting was linked to the earlier altercation or the event at Riverfront Live.
