PM Modi received a rousing welcome from Indian diaspora after landing in Washington DC on Thursday morning. PM Modi is among the first foreign leaders to meet President Trump after the US leader took over as the 47th President of the country.

During the US trip, PM Modi is scheduled to take part of 6 bilateral meetings within a span of his 36-hour stay. Modi is staying at Blair House, the US Presidential guest house, right across the road from the White House.
PM Modi's 36-hour-long trip to the US will likely test the longstanding bonhomie he enjoys with President Trump as India seeks to avoid tariffs.
The government of India expects that these could include Starlink's long-delayed plans to launch satellite broadband services in India.

Meanwhile, the 'TRUST' initiative will focus on Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technology and will catalyze collaboration among governments, academia and the private sector to drive innovation in defence, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum-computing, biotechnology, energy and space.
