Newly released bodycam footage captures the moment golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested on DUI-related charges following a crash in Florida.

The videos, released by the Martin County Sheriff's Office and shared by local media WPBF, show Woods speaking with officers, undergoing field sobriety tests, and being taken into custody.

Crash details and arrest

The incident occurred on March 27 in Jupiter Island, Florida, when a Ford F-150 pickup truck slowed to turn into a driveway.

According to investigators, Woods, who was driving a black Land Rover behind the pickup, crossed a double solid line into oncoming traffic before colliding with another vehicle and rolling his SUV onto its side.

Woods later told deputies he had been looking at his phone and adjusting the radio moments before the crash.

Sobriety tests and charges

Bodycam footage shows Woods participating in field sobriety tests before being arrested. He was later placed in the back of a patrol car, as seen in dashcam footage.

Authorities said Woods passed a breath test, indicating no alcohol in his system. However, he refused to submit to a urinalysis test at the county jail and told officers he had taken painkillers earlier in the day.

He has been charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a DUI test, along with DUI involving property damage.

Legal response and plea

On March 31, Woods, through his attorney Doug Duncan, entered a not guilty plea to the charges.

He waived arraignment, requested a jury trial, and opted out of attending certain pretrial proceedings. Court records show he was released on $1,150 bail the night of his arrest.

Statement and treatment plans

Following the plea, Woods issued a statement on X, saying he would step away from public life to focus on his health.

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” he said.

A judge on April 1 approved Woods’ request to travel abroad for comprehensive inpatient treatment, according to court filings.

What comes next

Woods is expected to face further legal proceedings, with an arraignment scheduled for April 23.

The release of the bodycam footage adds new visibility to the case as investigations and legal proceedings continue.
