US Presidential elections 2024: Taylor Swift extended her support for Democratic Kamala Harris and called her a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who will lead the nation by “calm and not chaos”. The American pop singer's statement came minutes after the conclusion of the US presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

In her latest Instagram post, Taylor Swift expressed her fear over the misuse of AI to propagate a false narrative about her endorsing Donald Trump for the US presidential elections.

“Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country,” Taylor Swift said in her post on Instagram.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site," Swift added highlighting how the incident led her to be more transparent about her actual plans for the election as a voter.

‘I will cast my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’: Swift

In the second half portion of her message, Taylor swift made it clear that she will be casting her vote for Kamala Harris. She also called Harris a “steady-handed, gifted leader” highlighting the US Vice President's selection of running mate Tim Walz.

Swift also mentioned Walz's stance on LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and other issues and urged her supporters to do their research for the coming election.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” the post read.
