WWDC 2023: Apple's next India store to open in Borivali, Mumbai
Apple plans to open three more retail stores in India, with the first in Borivali, Mumbai. The company will also revamp existing stores in the US and Europe.

Apple plans to open three more retail stores in India over the next two years. The first one of this batch (Apple's first-ever India store opened in BKC, Mumbai followed by Saket in Delhi) will come up in far suburb of Borivali in Mumbai.
A Bloomberg report said Apple is focussing on its growth via retail network in China and other Asian markets, including India. The iPhone-maker is also looking to revamp its existing retail outlets in the US and Europe.
The report said that Apple Inc. is going to open 15 fresh stores in the Asia-Pacific region, five in Europe and the Middle East, and four in the United States and Canada by 2027. The company also plans to revamp or relocate six stores in Asia, nine in Europe, and 13 in North America. In total, Apple is proposing a total of 53 new, relocated, or renovated stores over the next four years.
In April, Apple successfully launched its inaugural two stores in India. In 2026, Apple will open its fourth store in India in New Delhi's DLF Promenade mall.
Apple's fifth India store will come up in Mumbai's Worli area in 2027, the report said.
With that, by 2027, Apple will have five stores in India selling Macs, iPhones, AirPods and other products. Three of these stores will be in Mumbai and two in New Delhi.
Bloomberg said, Apple is also planning to upgrade its historic store in the Opera shopping area of Paris. Other upcoming store openings include one at the Battersea Power Station in London, which will be situated near Apple's new local headquarters, and a planned location in Miami. Moreover, a flagship store is set to be established at the Jing'an Temple Plaza in Shanghai.
Just months after opening its first-ever India stores that CEO Tim Cook personally few down to inaugurate, the two properties saw reveneus in the range of ₹22-25 crore. An Economic Times report said that this revenue figure is highest revenue recorded by any non-Diwali period electronics store in the country.
