WWDC 2023: Apple shares up 1.8% ahead of developer conference, touches all-time high
Apple's shares rise over 1.7% to an all-time high ahead of its annual software developer conference, where it is expected to announce a new mixed-reality headset.

The stock was trading 1.84 per cent high at $184.10. They have jumped nearly 40 per cent in 2023, compared with an 11.5 per cent rise in the benchmark S&P 500.
Apple became the only company to hit $3 trillion in market capitalization early last year. It was last valued at $2.89 trillion.
Other growth stocks also rose, with Alphabet Inc gaining 1.5 per cent and Amazon.com Inc adding 0.4 per cent.
Apple is expected to launch a mixed-reality headset later in the day, which would be its first big move into a new product category since the introduction of the Apple Watch nine years ago.
During this event, Apple is expected to introduce new products and significant software updates for iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, Macbooks, Apple TVs, and other devices. This year's WWDC is particularly exciting as Apple is anticipated to unveil its first AR/VR headset.
The S&P 500 edged up 0.1% in morning trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 120 points, or 0.3%, at 33,652, while the Nasdaq composite was 0.4% higher.
