The Colosseum in Rome - once the site of ancient gladiatorial combats - will soon welcome two unlikely fighters. Business moguls Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are currently training for a cage fight that “might actually happen” in the near future. And while they may be a far cry from the fighters of yore, the duo have reportedly been issued an official invite by the Italian government.
Both Musk and Zuckerberg have been spotted ‘training’ this week after the former challenged the Meta chief to a cage match via Twitter. Zuckerberg had promptly responded by asking for the location to meet, sparking buzz about an impending showdown.
"Send me location," he had urged.
While initial reports had indicated that the fight would take place in Vegas, there appears to have been a change of venue. According to a report by TMZ Sports, an official from the Italian government had contacted Mark Zuckerberg about staging a UFC fight against Elon Musk at Rome's Colosseum.
Musk too amplified the discussion after tweeting about the new venue on Friday. He also stressed the “need to work on his endurance”.
“Some chance fight happens in Colosseum,” he tweeted.
