A firing incident took place outside the Canada residence of Punjabi singer Prem Dhillon on Monday. The Jaipal Bhullar gang has since taken responsibility for the attack. The incident comes mere months after similar incidents involving fellow performers AP Dhillon and Gippy Grewal — with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang taking responsibility in both cases.
According to reports, the Jaipal Bhullar gang has taken responsibility for the shooting. A viral post attributed to Jenta Kharrad — a known associate of Arsh Dalla — also shared a viral post claiming that he was the person behind the incident. The post also mentioned singer Sidhu Moosewala who was shot dead in 2022 and jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
“I tried several times to stop this, but it didn’t happen. First, they came forward with Sidhu, signed with him, then threatened Sidhu with Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, broke their contract, and then pointed fingers at Sidhu’s loss. They mocked Sidhu’s death and made a song for his sympathy,” Times of India quoted the post as saying.
The message was written in Punjabi and also claimed that Dhillon had betrayed Moosewala after the latter passed away. It lambased him for ‘giving a song to KV Dillion’ and referred to music label Geet Mp3 as ‘Cheat Mp3’.
The incident comes months after the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for a similar attack outside the Vancouver house of singer and rapper AP Dhillion. The incident came soon after the release of a music video for his song Old Money that featured actor Salman Khan.
According to an India Today report, the gang had reportedly warned AP Dhillon to “stay within his limits, or he will meet a dog's death” — referencing his alleged connections with the Bollywood star. The shooting also followed yet another firing incident outside Khan's Mumbai apartment on April 14.
