Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton openly laughed at former President Donald Trump's situation on the eve of his second indictment.
Trump, who pleaded not guilty to 37 federal charges in a Miami courtroom on Tuesday for mishandling classified documents, ironically faced similar accusations from Clinton during the 2016 election.
As per a report by New York Post, when questioned about the case against her former presidential rival during a recording of the podcast Pod Save America at the Tribeca Film Festival, Hillary Clinton expressed her amusement, saying, “I have lot of reactions.”
“I think the best reaction – publicly – is let’s see how it unfolds and see what happens, right?”
Accompanied by New York Attorney General Letitia James and comedian Roy Wood, Jr., Hillary Clinton, visibly entertained, commented on the alleged actions of Donald Trump, suggesting that he ventured into risky territory by reportedly keeping classified documents in questionable places, including near a toilet at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
During the event, Clinton burst into laughter upon being presented with a t-shirt that read "Totally impartial potential juror," seemingly unaware of the irony in her own actions.
She chuckled at the notion of comparing her alleged mishandling of top-secret documents to the actions of a Florida individual who portrays himself as a proponent of law and order, but seemingly only when it doesn't involve his own conduct.
“It’s odd, let’s just say to the point of being absurd,” she said about Republicans who still bring the topic up while refusing to acknowledge the seriousness of Trump’s alleged actions.
