Hundreds and thousands of users across the globe were issues with both app and website of microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter). On Monday, reports on Downdetector, a website that tracks user complaints online, logged 41,612 disruptions in US alone.
As per data from the tracker, reports in India shot up from 1679 at 6:57pm IST to 3301 at 7:12 pm IST. Meanwhile, Canada logged over 4000 cases of disruptions for X users.
The UK also reported a large number of complaints about the issue, with over 10,000 users flagging problems on Downdetector.
According to data from Downdetector, thousands of users registered complaints during both crashes. Major cities across the US, UK, India were among the worst affected during the disruptions.

As reports of the outage surfaced, users flocked to various platforms — including X — to vent their frustration.
“X is down. Let's all go to Threads and talk about it,” one user wrote on X. Meanwhile another person tweeted: “For those wondering, yes, X/Twitter is down or having serious issues for many users. The spike in reports started at 7:15 AM.”
One user also said, “X Down Again And Again Elon Musk And Nikita Do Something.”
While the service has resumed for some users after a brief disruption, many others continue to face problems with the platform, reporting issues such as restricted access, slow loading, and trouble posting or refreshing their feeds.
